It’s an interesting view for sure. If they did coordinate it like that then I’m not giving them enough credit, but I tend to think these populists like Farage and Johnson are opportunistic and lack long term planning. They certainly like US money but I don’t think there’s a broader conspiracy.

I think many of the people who pushed Brexit believed in autonomy but were too ignorant to understand that you can’t be autonomous in a globalised world. Also they made up information and started to believe their own grift. I don’t think they’re organised enough to collaborate a plan like that.
