Reeves abandoning income tax rises because she’s instituting wealth taxes? Maybe this is being hopeful but this seems to be the only realistic outcome. Unless she wants to do more austerity but that would definitely mean an internal Labour revolt and shedding what little support they still have.

How long before Trump’s loyalists jump ship over Epstein? Presumably there’s even worse details in there which is why he’s not releasing them all. At some point, the most opportunistic people in his administration will see the utility in using it to advance their own careers.

@zackpolanski.bsky.social is undoubtably doing an amazing job but we need more charismatic figures like him on the left. To continue pulling politics left, we can’t rely on 1 or 2 people. We need a whole ecosystem of effective, young communicators who understand modern media.

I don't see Tim Davie's resignation as a bad thing. Put independent journalists back in charge at the BBC and stop focusing on marketing and signalling to both left and right. Sure they'll make mistakes but let them concentrate on producing quality content and not just image management.

By no means is Rory Stewart the worst talking head around, but this question shows a real lack of self reflection. The most privileged private schools encourage the students to think and talk with the confidence that they know everything, and then when they get top jobs, they're out of their depth.

I’m ready to witness the New York City mass exodus that we’ve been hearing all about from the right-wing press. It’s funny that the biggest threat against progressive politics is that all the worst people will go somewhere else! It’s like a double win to vote progressive.

Reeves' budget is potentially the most important budget in modern history. If she announces a raid on the wealthiest, Labour may be able to turn the tide and the fortune of the union. If it's just more hurt for working-class Brits then I don't believe there will be any coming back for Labour.
