okay, but this is just explaining the algorithm thing again. this isn’t answering my question about “why would they veil it in the pretense of passing a message”. i’ve seen algorithm-check posts on many accounts, if not gibberish-number posts; the combo of numbers & pretense is still suspicious imo

that makes sense (& thank you for explaining, i rarely think about algorithmic promotion/repression), but i don’t understand why this account would make such test posts under the guise of “not for the public”, as opposed to just being clear about “checking if we’re getting pushed off the feed”

is that… a thing people do? post gibberish numbers to test their reach? i’m genuinely asking, because i have never seen such a thing before, & i would consider it much more of a stretch than “people are using the attention from political issues to personally profit”. but i’m open to other evidence!
