So... 'The Children's Society' have refused a donation from the Rt Revd Justin Welby. I wonder if this is a reflection of the toxicity of Anglicanism in the Uk?

On cold winters night, in a cold church tower, came a warm fat cat, who gave me the power, to ignore the how I froze, from my head to my toes, and to feel instead warm, as I cuddled his form!

Even as the world slowly darkens with the spread of conflict and dystopic weather events i seem to increasingly find hope in the smallest things, petals blowing in the wind, a spider waiting in the middle of its web, life, irrepressibly unstoppable #hope

So, I found myself alone in large kitchen with 40 dirty dinner plates, cutlery and more. I'm learning to bellring and we were hosting bell ringers from across the region. I rolled up my sleeves and got stuck in. A lady walks in, "you are well trained" she stated before leaving again. Weird comment!

Best thing I have read this week. Very persuasive that degrowth is the way forward. The world sadly seems to be moving in the opposite direction.
This article has been weeks - but also years - in the making. The time has come for #Degrowth. GDP growth at-all-costs is killing us, leading to runaway climate change & fascism. We have to consider other, better options. Fortunately, they do exist.

Welby is gone—but trust in the Church is broken beyond repair
The Church of England has never taken safeguarding seriously enough. A revolution will be necessary to account for the mistakes under Justin Welby’s t...

So many leaders act as though the failure to challenge climate change is someone else's fault.
Says someone under whose watch forest reserves were given up for illegal mining. Someone whom through the attorney general, got peaceful protester arrested for fighting against galamsey (illegal mining). History will remember you as the worst president of the Republic of Ghana 🇬🇭 #COP29

I don't understand why these 'leaders' don't understand that self interest is only truly served when the poorest and weakest are served truly.

Love the whole introduction thing on here. I'm a dog person, a robust, resilient, ironic, funny kind of person. I'm learning to live past overwhelming melancholy, love playing with our grandchildren, making random stuff, and dreaming of the what next.
