North East PTUG
@northeastptug.bsky.social
A voluntary organisation in the North East of England campaigning for public transport for social and environmental good. We fight for more attractive, affordable, and accessible sustainable transport (including walking, cycling, bus, metro, and rail).
Integrated ticketing is a vital part of making public transport easy and affordabe. In the North East 'Pop 2.0', bringing simple contactless payments across public transport, was due Sept 2025. Now funding is being diverted to the Shields Ferry. When can we expect Pop 2.0 @kimmcguinness.bsky.social?

This is the shambolic scene on Blackett Street tonight. Convoys of taxis driving straight past the "Bus and Cycles Only" sign with no enforcement from Newcastle City Council, causing delays to bus services by blocking the road. Action must be taken here, surely? @mikecookson.bsky.social
