This is a film that was "rediscovered" in the early 80s and I was lucky enough to see it in Barcelona in English (with subtitles) in 1981. We, having no idea what to expect, *roared* with laughter; one of the great experiences of my life.

Your birthday suit, of course:

When I moved to New York in 1984 the Tony Sansone Gym was still in existence and it was where one was only allowed to work out 'in the Greek manner'. No clothing of any kind allowed.

When I was living in Salzburg, Austria in 1981-82, the men I ‘bonded’ with didn’t wear socks to bed, always T-shirts (and for the same reason).

Saw this at a cinema in London's Leicester Square when it first opened.
Blown away by everything up to the very end. It seemed, at the time (and without having any idea at all what would happen next), they they had simply lopped off the final scene(s) of the film and said, 'Let's just stop here.'😠

It was a complete disconnect (in a good way) for me to see this film as Patrick Fugit looked *exactly* like I did at his age.

Watching this in Manhattan opening night and hearing the roar of the crowd with "Objects in mirror are closer than the appear".
