My brother in law was in NZ for the whole of that tour and we joked that when he came home England would improve as he was obviously a jinx and when I woke up the first thing I had to do was apologise to him but now who knows? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I loved this book (and her earlier volume about childhood reading) and I’m convinced that at one point I had to be in the same secondhand bookshops searching for and buying the same books!

I'm doing nothing good for my blood pressure by reading the new Lesley-Ann Jones book "Love Freddie" - as a lifelong Queen fan (my 2nd musical memory is Bo Rap used at a pre school birthday party for pass the parcel!) I'm intrigued but also cross & skeptical.
