What JD is missing here is that some of Trump's actions, or actions by Musk which are approved by Trump, are NOT within the executive's legitimate power. They are illegal, and in direct opposition with the Constitution which Trump just swore an oath to less than a month ago.
The other shoe. Is dropped. Like I said, this is coordinated.

When the disinformation and threats are coming from the top, it is all the more dangerous. Speaking truth to power really pisses off those in power who speak untruths.
All kidding aside, the reason he is doing this is to establish some kind of culpability by @profgalloway.com and I. We never threatened these people but it is all in service of getting his supporters to think we did. It’s not a random tweet — all planned for a larger effort to silence us or worse.

This is not just a musing from a dude with some various ideas. The next step is to hollow out the judiciary and also not follow their rulings, which have been against Musk’s efforts. This is a very obvious coup, for those not paying attention.

I always find Kara’s work insightful. Agree — keep an eye on Trump’s real end game of total control — and don’t get distracted.
The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

I need to do some reading about about the McCarthy era
as it feels to me that what is going now has many parallels “outing” people and getting people to falsely accuse each other. The criteria today, so far, DEI, disloyalty to Trump, support of “woke” topics (whatever that trigger word means).

To me it feels like as a society, “facts” and “truth” are out of favor. This worries me greatly. Can a free and civil society survive if facts and truth are not shared core values?
