I'm no great royal fan, although I see advantages over a president with executive powers
Nevertheless it is this type of royal news which does serve a useful purpose as people who have experienced cancer or been affected by it will listen and identify with Catherine.

Ask any human,(well most) which creature is the apex of evolution
They'll probably say humans
Their religions tell them so
& their egos & limited ability to think critically
But I'd wager humans are not & may just be are at present
One day they'll be gone & something else will reign
Robots perhaps.

The end of #Wimbledon line judges; & Mr McEnroe, perhaps unsurprisingly, suggests chair umpires should go next
Why stop there?
Two robots programmed by clever coders could replace the players & produce fantastic tennis unsullied by human weakness
Going too far?

Wimbledon is without line judges for the first time - will 'sport's best dressed officials' be missed?

Worth a read.
Although reposting on here is not getting the message across to the people who really need to understand it.
Although, many of them probably wouldn't anyway.
A Glastonbury chant caused a national meltdown, but the Bear’s incisive analysis reveals the real story.

Don't miss this insightful dive into Britain's moral panic.
Who decides what’s ‘hate speech’ and what’s dissent?
A single Glastonbury chant shattered the illusion of free speech, exposing Britain's fragile moral panic machine

I've said it before #bbcnews, and I'll say it again
Your job is to report facts & explanation, & only facts & explanation about what has happened, is happening & will happen.
Not speculation, not gossip, not opinion. Not it 'is believed' or 'the BBC understands from an unnamed source'
Just facts

Of course it's not nice for a band to lead chants against the IDF at Glastonbury
But then it's not very nice bombing & starving civilians
But it's not very nice for terror attacks against Israel
But then it's not nice Israel grabbing land for settlements
And so it goes on & on & on
It needs to stop

The #BBC says it has to be impartial in its news & current affairs output
I agree it should be
But I don't think it has to do this on what it thinks the public's voting intentions are
The only way it can be impartial is to report facts factually & avoid opinion, interpretation, gossip & speculation

Have strikes led by Trump and Netanyahu really made Britain and the world safer? Or, has a chilling message been sent: that in a global order where rules mean little and might makes right, deterrence not diplomacy is now the only defense.

Do what?
This is an observation of the UK government's absurd adoption of a sledgehammer to what is really just a hugely embarrassing security breach
It might be the yanks, worried that their UK bases are vulnerable or it could be very red faces at the MOD
But I bet there was duress applied to YC

If you think HMG is R wing you must be too young to remember the Thatcher years
It could easily be the US pulling the strings
UK has danced to their tune since '45 even after Suez & the ambiguity of the Falkands
Or it may simply be the scrambled egg whose security has been seriously embarrassed

Observation causes me concern that human are evolving to find knives & forks an alien concept or impossible to manipulate in a coordinated manner
(I realise that some cultures don't customarily use knives & forks & my comment is in no way directed at them
It is solely directed at those that do)

I propose that political parties change their leaders on the 1st of each month
This is enought time to sort their parties out
If they can't do it in that time best they go
Some get more days yhan others
General elections every 2 months this gives a Gov more than enough time to solve world problems

This means that the #BBC can never again show anything that does not also explain why bullies are right & their victims wrong
Grooming gangs, Myra Hindley, Fred West, Hitler, the Holocaust (paradoxically)must also be shown to be right in their actions
BBC frankly needs to understand morality.
But
The BBC has confirmed it won’t air its documentary on Gaza’s medics. I know some of the journalists involved and they’re absolutely excellent. This statement is mealy-mouthed; you can’t “both sides” the facts on the ground of a genocide, and there’s a clear public interest in documenting those facts

I very much doubt many, if any, of the billions of ordinary people in the world want bombing or destruction
It's just the greedy leaders, & the rich billionaires et al who see money making opportunities in expansion, rebuilding & control over others and resources
Everyone else wants a quiet life

Let's suppose:
America attacks Iran & asks allies to support it
How do the leaders of the allies decide whether to or not?
Who advises them? What factors, threats, promises do they consider?
Whose interest do they act in?
Who really makes the decision & why?
WIIF them?
No stupid replies please
