cultural trends created the context that make it quite impossible to fulfill all societal expectations, so people make randomized priorities depending on their life experiences...theres so much to deal with, you can't deal with it all, some things get neglected, bad people exploit momentum :(

its worse theyre so bombarded with work and life responsibilities and cultural context that they don't have the mental capabilities to spend effort on philosophy, science, systems dynamics, justice, empathy, community, or even care and awareness
