So interesting to see a player deliberately use a real game to get live reps on certain moves

TERA and ArcheAge were shut down, and now New World is about to be shut down

If I had to imagine what aging feels like, it must be like this; you witness the things you love fade and wash away

After reading about how Guillermo Del Toro spoke about casting him as Frankenstein’s Monster, it’s the same qualities that lead me to think Jacob Elordi would play Spike Spiegel well

It’s even clearer now that the Bulls FO was rewarding Caruso and Lonzo by sending them to top contenders

It came at their own expense, but these decisions earn them goodwill from agents and players
Happy for Lonzo Ball, hope he experiences the Caruso arc in Cleveland.

I'm perplexed why the Bulls took this deal for Okoro instead of trading Ball at the deadline last year to the Grizz for long term salary (probably Marcus Smart) + a first round pick.

Been a long time coming, right as they’re transitioning to the Doncic era

The franchise can’t keep losing talent by cheaping out on the tax bill like they did throughout the LeBron era
NEWS: After five decades of control by the Buss family, the Los Angeles Lakers will be sold to Mark Walter, lead owner of the Dodgers, for at least $10 billion, sources tell @mikevorkunov.bsky.social & @joevardon.bsky.social.

The sale price is the largest for a North American sports franchise.

“Jeanie Buss will continue to serve in her role as Governor after the sale.”

That’s what they told Mark Cuban as well. They kicked him out shortly

The supposedly unbiased ABC commentators were so melancholic and lifeless reacting to the Thunder win

Haven’t seen a team split the hedging scheme as consistently as the Thunder did in Game 2. Typically a high-risk move, so credit to the handles of their lead guards

The Pacers move laterally so quickly on the perimeter on offense

It opens up a lot of driving lanes and open looks off miscommunication

Also, an acting quirk I dislike is when Bella does these aggressive head nods and exaggerated enunciation when she delivers lines where her character is angry

It’s incredibly juvenile, which made some sense in Season 1, but not in Season 2

Something that was unnerving to witness off the Timberwolves post-game presser was Ant’s glaring lack of perspective

Sitting beside Conley, Ant was asked how much it hurt to get to the CF but fail to reach the Finals 2 years in a row

So, my thoughts on the porch scene:

The placement of the scene was more impactful in the game

The dialogue was better written and performed superbly, making it more impactful in the TV series

The Nuggets has decided they’re just going to stop throwing passes within Caruso’s gap coverage, and just live with a 3v3 game
May 14, 2025 at 4:28 AM
Good perspective from coach David Adelman:

He stated that isolations and PnR/handoff 2-man game wears on your stars, so in order to prevent them being worn down by the 4th quarter, you need to be able to rely on your scheme, the elbow and split actions to get you good looks the rest of the game

Cross-screen action gives Jokic such a deep seal. The Nuggets need to get back to that set
May 8, 2025 at 3:13 AM
What the Thunder needs to drill over this week-long break

-Stringing the double-team along to create a wider 4-on-3 advantage and passing against the double-team

-Timing and communication off split cut action and against top-locking defense

-All types of unconventional finishing at the rim

That wasn’t no 48-47 fight. These referees are so suspect

I do hate that this Caruso matchup is killing JJJ’s reputation overall bc he’s been great defensively and against every other matchup except Caruso
April 26, 2025 at 8:18 PM
If it ain’t Amen, realistically it’s between Mobley and Draymond, and I’m glad it went to one of them. Dyson has no case whatsoever, especially over any of those 3 names

Individual impact that doesn’t translate to defensive success on a team-level holds little value

Surely at some point, the people in the TLOU universe have figured out to wear base layers, balaclavas and gloves whenever there’s a chance of encountering infected, right?

Volk proved things to himself in last night’s fight that are just as important as the title itself

He showed he’s able to stay disciplined under pressure against a heavy hitter. He wasn’t reactionary, wasn’t flinch-y, didn’t freeze

Something interesting brought up during this whole Mavs Nico Harrison fiasco is the incompatibility of the timeline of a bball operations exec’s contractual situation VS the expected timeline of team-building and management

If you’re Luka Doncic, and the first move your new front office makes is giving up a haul for Mark Williams, you’d be skeptical for good reason
