I mean it's because conservative black voters vote Democratic while conservatives from other racial demographics vote Republican. So it's probably best for the country overall that stays that way.

They are also the most conservative part of the Dem electorate.

Trump was not meaningfully responsible for the COVID pandemic and his response, while not ideal, was better than many other countries. In fact his current public health policy is largely an effort to undo most of the positive efforts from that period to appease MAHA types

Is there a process for contacting the city clerk about these discrepancies? Do you have to be an Atlanta resident/voter?

White seems to have claimed that all $25k spent was in non itemized expenditures less than $100. This seems dubious to me. Have you ever seen this from a campaign before?

I’d hold out on that conclusion for now, just because the cognitive dissonance could resolve in either direction. But the trends are concerning

There’s enough cognitive dissonance at the moment that you still see people like Zohran, Rashida, and even AOC/Bernie popular among the youth. But there’s growing detachment from familiarity with basic aspects of campaign structure and mass organizing

The issue that Rose is complaining about (and I have a slightly different take than her) is that the feedback loops in DSA do not reward successful tactics or prompt productive adaptation.

Yes, and some of those views have resulted in a much more consistent rate of success than others.
August 25, 2025 at 7:05 PM
OK, but then it doesn’t make sense to turn around and claim credit for the candidates winning. Emerge outright opposed Zohran’s endorsement and only how they’re trying to tout him as an example.

Bread and Roses is the exception here, as a caucus they’ve gotten multiple members elected to office in uphill fights. But their approach to electoral strategy is closer to GW’s than to SOR or Red Star.
August 25, 2025 at 6:43 PM
Those caucuses have also been extremely critical of Zohran’s campaign and platform.

Campaigns like Zev in Tacoma, or Abdul Osmanu in CT that were spearheaded by the ultra leftist caucuses performed poorly.

Biden’s ousting was a centrist coup, there is a reason Bernie and AOC stood by him (even if it was strategically bad for the left)
August 22, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Headline is extremely misleading, he clearly has no meaningful regret or remorse towards Biden admin actions and is even vague about whether the "tragedy" he refers to is the ongoing slaughter and starvation of Palestinians or just October 7th.
On today’s Big Take podcast, former National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and David Gura discuss Sullivan’s time in the Biden White House and the challenges facing the Trump Administration.
