I've lived in a wealthy suburb. You couldn't pay me to buy an overpriced and underbuilt McMansion.

I'll take a moderately sized home in a walkable neighborhood.

The new wealth signal is having enough money for the burbs but foregoing it for walkability.

One downside of being a late blooming wlw is that I have no idea where to start in Atlanta to make like-minded friends

I don't give a fuck "population collapse". I care more about the quality of life for the humans that exist more than the quantity of future, humans that don't even fuckin exist. The pronatalism movement weird as fuck.

The larger the gap between who you were and who you are now, the more work has to be done to build your new community and family, both chosen and otherwise, brick by brick, from the ground up.

Companies had $1 trillion to spend over the next 5 years and rather than pay workers more they decided to invest in a verison of "AI", a far shittier version of you, that they've already admitted has a near zero chance of ever being your equal. They playing in your face.

The type of political disagreements I can work with are those were I disagree with the means but it's clear to me we are interested similar goals. The late Milton Friedman is an example of a conservative thinker I disagree with philosophically in good faith but I don't question his intentions.

Its like twitter was killed by the Romans, had its name stripped, trapped for years, and finally resurrected. This isnt “another social media app.” This is the true one finding glory once more 🙏🏽

When I want to learn about what a group of people with fucked up ideas think, I'll just read books they write or have written about them, watch their movies, look at their art, etc. We don't need to talk to each other.

So can "skylights" catch on as the replacement for "tweets"?

I'm growing increasingly disappointed with the lack of transportation in Atlanta. The city is projected to near 1 million people in the next decade and highways are not gonna cut it. We need trains. We need belt line centered rail as well. Why is this so hard to execute? Cars are not the answer

Possums are weirdos. One spent the entire day in my front yard playing dead. As soon as the sun began to set, it sat up and slowly trickled across the street. Very weird creatures.

Bluesky is now the #2 social app in the US, Canada, and #3 in the UK 🦋

On bsky, ~30% of y'all are posters compared to the 1% main characters on other platforms. Turns out there's more chattiness & connection when you have algorithmic choice 🤭
