@docwyattbeyond.bsky.social After a lot of new powers being revealed recently, I decided to have a crack at organising the elemental powers by source and I was wondering what you though of it

Also is Chaos its own artificial source? Since the Forbidden Five’s powers come from Thunderfang…

Also sometimes people just don’t wanna drink alcohol on a particular occasion but do wanna drink tasty things and it is nice to have some options other than water and lukewarm mixers
Note for the upcoming holiday season,,, some of us are on a sobriety journey and mocktails or non-alcoholic beer options make a big difference 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Reminds me of this rather excellent Oatmeal strip (not the "Exposure$$$" one either, so he's done at least 2 great strips!) on not believing things you're told. Having our mind changed is bally challenging:

I've never read a Stephen King novel. Which one is your favorite? Which one would you recommend to a person who doesn't like horror?

I don't know who needs to hear this, but if all you accomplish this weekend is reading a riveting novel cover-to-cover whilst drinking multiple kettles of tea and consuming a scandalous amount of croissants, then you will have accomplished more than enough.

Getting awesome musicians to make songs related to your books is fun and I really recommend it.

There's something I need people to understand.

The studio that made this released some numbers. They had to produce 85 minutes of footage to find 15 usable seconds for this ad.

The machine that creates moving images out of nothing has a failure rate of 340:1 and the best 15 seconds... is this.

Oh, right: Wil Wheaton and I once did a charity anthology based on this magnificent piece of art (by Jeff Zugale), and it raised $25K to fight Lupus. The details (and links to PDF and ebook versions of the anthology) are at the link.

Also, Starter Villain is again #1 for all science fiction ebook titles on Amazon (#2 for SF/F, #6 overall); I'm sure that's entirely due to the quality text and not the fact it's on sale for $1.99 (you can probably find the ebook for a similar price at other stores, too). Sale ends soon, though.
