For autism, bc pre 1980 it didn't exist as a diagnosis as we know it now. 1980-86 had to be under 24 months old. 1987 updated age requirement. Didn't get our contemporary criteria for Autism Spectrum Disorder til 2013. Similiar story for other diagnosis. Medicine has evolved. And way more access.
