Anarchism is a philosophy and practice that rejects all forms of hierarchical authority, whether political, economic, or social, and aims to create a society based on equality, freedom, and mutual aid. It opposes systems like capitalism and the state, which concentrate power and wealth in the hands of a few while exploiting the many. Instead, anarchism advocates for self-organisation, direct democracy, and collective ownership of resources. At its core, anarchism is anti-hierarchical. It challenges all systems of domination, from governments and corporations to patriarchy and racism. Anarchists believe people can organise themselves without rulers or bosses, using horizontal structures where everyone has an equal say in decisions that affect them. This is complemented by the principle of mutual aid—cooperation and solidarity as the foundation of society, rather than competition or profit. Capitalism is rejected for its exploitation of workers and its prioritisation of profit over human needs. The state is seen as a tool that enforces this exploitation through laws, police, and military power. Together, these systems perpetuate inequality and oppression. Anarchists propose replacing them with federated communities where resources are shared equitably, and production is managed democratically by workers. Anarchism is not just a vision for the future but a practice for the present. It emphasises direct action—taking control of struggles without relying on politicians or bureaucrats—and prefigurative politics, building organisations that embody its principles now. Freedom is understood collectively: no one can be free while others are oppressed. Ultimately, anarchism seeks a world without masters or slaves—a society where people live cooperatively in dignity and solidarity, free from coercion or exploitation. It’s about creating a world where liberty and equality go hand in hand.

We’re forced to “share” because the ruling class claims ownership of land, resources, and production. To survive, we must sell our labour to them, and they take the value we create as profit. This theft "capital" is why workers don’t truly own what they produce under capitalism.

Hierarchies like the state or capitalism aren’t tools to wield .. they’re structures to abolish.
The idea of joining a hierarchical, oppressive system to reform it from within is a flawed strategy. These systems are designed to perpetuate their own power, absorbing dissent and neutralising resistance. When individuals or groups enter those structures, they find themselves constrained by the mechanisms they hoped to change. Instead of challenging the system, they become complicit in its operations. Anarchism comes not from assimilation but from building collective power outside these systems. By organising horizontally via anarcho syndicalism, and fostering solidarity, we can challenge oppression at its roots and create alternatives that reflect principles of mutual aid, equality, and autonomy. Change is not about working within the machinery of domination but dismantling it entirely.

Anarcho syndicalism is method to achieve anarchism. The time is now to connect our collectives, our groups, our movements using anarchist federalism into the granite fist of the working class and take back what is rightfully ours. Their claim to ownership of the land and resources is illegitimate. It is a theft from each and every one of us based on nothing but their decree and enforced by the state that protects their interests. Organise!
