Breakfast lover. Always tired. I write.
This miserable existence and the horrors within is made a modicum better with the knowledge that the Jackbox Party Packs are there for a laugh.

Game-wise, it's great! Mechanics are solid, level design and item layout are top notch. It's just so damn extreme. It's a good game that's terrible for your psyche. You know your limits. Tread with caution.

... until your phone rings. On answer, a voice utters three trigger words, ones conditioned into your head from the trials, and you turn into a psycho Winter Soldier. Bleak end indeed.

Story-wise, your character is imprisoned against their will, forced into "trials" with the purpose of desensitizing you to the extreme evils you do. After you subject yourself enough, you can earn your freedom, awakening back in your own house...

Guys, seriously, the subject material is hardcore. It's intense. I'm surprised it didn't get an AO rating. Proceed with caution, it'll take more than the mindset of "it's just a game" to come away unscathed. I've warned you.

The PG version is "load into a scenario, complete objectives on a map, hide or run from the numerous psychos, return to the entrance and escape. Level up to unlock perks and gear that make subsequent runs easier. Lather, rinse. Repeat if you dare.

One of the free games this month on PSN is The Outlast Trials and the best way I can describe it is "first-person, torture porn mind conditioning with Terrifier levels of gore and cruelty." Yeah. I'm not going to comment on the things you see and do.

But there is One who simply checks his watch, makes a quick note in a small book, puts on his glasses, and disappears as another world dies.

And he's keeping a record.

I've been playing your games since the old PSX days and I gotta tell ya, out of the thousands of video games that have come and gone over the years, the Party Pack series has always been a true delight and staple among my friends. Thank you for making lasting memories we all treasure.
