Found a pic of it, not a traditional bench but the view is beautiful! The concept is quite alien to the Greek perception of death and memory tho.

We don't memorialise people in this manner, any benches you find would likely be installed by foreigners. There is for example one for Leonard Cohen on Hydra.

Wee struggle for our grand total of 6 courses (if you count Navarino as one entity) to employ them all.

👍 The govt is coming at it, reducing the number of kids needed for the 'large family' benefits/discounts (which are substantial), even recruiting Eurobank to sponsor IVF. Greeks in my experience plan their families and budgets very thoughtfully, knowing they are supported is essential.

It's dreadfully scammy, endless 'Hello my dear lady' types. Have nearly given up following back.

Bit of a wild comparison. The villages in the Peloponnese (like mine) were abandoned due to water, earthquake issues or straight up poverty. People left for Ameriki or Australia etc. Today's population decline was a healthy defence against the recent crisis, it will slowly recover.

Got a LPS recently for mother's visit and that damn thing is useful. Dusting, putting things in cupboards, perving on the neighbours over the balcony rail... godsend.
