Current opinion on Prime 4: pretty mediocre. The NPCs weren't the problem nearly as much as I feared.
It just doesn't feel like a Metroid Prime game. More like a Zelda clone. The lore feels incoherent and disjointed.
Not sure if I'll finish it, I'm mentally pretty checked out from it.

out of curiosity, i recently watched all the james bond movies over the course of a few weeks. i think the biggest takeaway for me was that i now think there is an alternative timeline with a Metal Gear Solid (1998) movie with a young Christopher Walken playing the twin snakes

Seeing something with moral choices coming up in games and I'm reminded of just how many people don't want to pick the mean options in Disco Elyisum for one simple reason alone:

Part of me thinks a big part of the problem people have is that players just don't go out and explore; while there are a lot of challenging parts, Hornets kit can be broken open fairly easily if you do even a little bit of sidequesting/rosary farming.

It's honestly kinda funny that even the latest Plinkett video admits that as bad as the prequels are (which they are), they at least were made and directed by a single guy named George Lucas, warts and all.
Like, they're bad movies, but they're the fun kind of bad.
