@rachellense.bsky.social This is literally the first opportunity I have had to do some sidewalk astronomy since I received the stickers. It is never this cloudy and rainy in North Texas. Climate change is even out to get the astronomers.

The photo doesn't give you a sense of scale, but it was a chunky boy, and I'm guessing it was around 3 feet long.

@rachellense.bsky.social The stickers arrived. I realized after I put it on that when it was at an angle, it wasn't as visible... but I do have 29 of them.

Today I learned that the genes that suppress the immune system of the mother, to stop her body automatically rejecting the growing child as an alien presence were inserted into our genome by a virus some random ancient primate was infected with approximately 45 million years ago. I love #evolution!

Just finished my first read of the
#TheDarkTower in 20 years. Still the best ending to anything I have ever read/watched/listened to. It's just so brutal and sad and amazing and awesome and the best last sentence to anything ever! 11/10 will re-read again in 20 years.... hopefully.

I finally figured out how to make every video default play at 2x speed. Then when I tried to slow one thing down for reasons everything is slow again even thought the Chrome extension settings say the default is 2x..... sigh. I may have to reboot, sigh...
