I know it’s nuts! Monday I was sliding on icy roads, and now it’s summer again 🤣 it’s cloudy at least, so it doesn’t feel quite as warm. But this is how crazy the weather gets here. I joke about how our weather is like Canada in winter, Deep South in summer, and we can get all 4 seasons in a week

WOW this turned into a whole ramble 🤣🤣🤣 I’m tired. That’s my excuse for the ramble 🤣

Getting married is about the MARRIAGE, not the wedding. The humanity in it all just gets so lost in materialism. No one should have to go into debt to prove their love. That’s just absurd. And any person who truly loves their person wouldn’t try to force them into debt over material things.

Waaaaay too many people put their entire focus on having the perfect wedding, and buying this and that, and the extravagance of it all… but that’s all for showing off to other people, it’s hollow, man. All you should need is the person you love, and the people closest to you both, that’s it.

But seriously tho, courthouse wedding with immediate family only, and then a party later for everyone else, cuz weddings are so horrifically expensive and wasteful, like YIKES! I am actually very practical, as much as I like to wax poetic. Save that money for a house.

Funny thing is I always figured I’d do a simple courthouse wedding, cuz wedding planning is a LOT, and my mom was a “momzilla” who I had to put her in her place for the wedding-that-never-happened. BUT if she has actually learned her lesson and lets me do what I want, then I might just do a real one
