Follow the track till the track runs out. Then make your own way.

Scottish & European. Not British.
Can't help wondering it wouldn't be better if the press didn't talk about the budget until after the budget.

He comes across as a very carefully trained rottweiler which has been taught not to bark strangers, not to piss on the carpet or eat the baby.

He'll be flawlessly polite until his owners are lulled into a false sense of security.

Then he'll murder them in their sleep.

I think we all have to admit that covid corruption was first class. Got to at least give him credit for handling that well.

Hmmm. Spirit animals don't sound very christian. Nor hating women.

Exactly. The FM has to take a strong lead in a national crisis. It's her job. Nicola Sturgeon is not to blame for other people's toxic biases.

Bizarre comment from the covid inquiry.

That was a scandal: deliberately undermining govt during public health crisis

Instead report chose to criticise Sturgeon:

"Sharing the burden of public health communications more widely among senior decision-makers & advisers would also reduce the risk of polarisation among members of the public"

And she got on telly too much.

"Sharing the burden of public health communications more widely among senior decision-makers and advisers would reduce the risk of polarisation among members of the public"

I'm guessing that the govt which thinks swastikas are not hate symbols is probably in the wrong. About everything.

General misanthropy & specific bigotries.

Like most things on the right, you're dealing with people who somehow failed the normal developmental processes of socialisation.

All forms of bigotry & hate must be made socially & professionally unacceptable. Push the opposite: our shared humanity.

It was her job to take lead emphasising seriousness of pandemic & convincing people to change behaviour.

At the time, BBC deliberately undermined govt message as it tried to "two sides" a public health emergency (!) That should have been the target of the report. A genuine scandal.

Have you guys tried X? I think you'd like it there. More your kind of people.

Opposite of empathy, trust etc is general misanthropy & specific bigotries. People who somehow failed the normal developmental processes of socialisation.

Duty of govt is to loudly & clearly take the lead on our shared humanity not conspire with forces seeking to corrode it.

First, why is this wrong?

A society/nation/economy is a cooperative enterprise.

The Rules of Cooperation: empathy, trust, respect, fairness. If we don't have that nothing works as well as it should do. At worst everything falls apart.

BREAKING: plans for the new East Wing have been leaked.

Most serious criticism seems to be that she didn't consult the full cabinet enough, holding discussions with a smaller group of people before bringing something to cabinet. Is that not her prerogative?

The real question is were any *bad* decisions made and why?

Look at the rage in those eyes. That Shih Tzu was ready to kill.

Police officer lucky to be alive.

Most serious criticism seems to be that she didn't consult the full cabinet enough, making decisions with a smaller group of people.

If that's all they've got (haven't read full report) it looks a bit desperate.

The real question is were any *bad* decisions made and why?
