Yes prices are high and we’re rescinding consumer protections for airline travel but you know the real problem with the airline industry? That guy wearing comfortable clothes.
Duffy: "Trump talks about the golden age of transportation. But the golden age in transportation truly begins with you ... People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly ... so we want to push people as we come into a really busy travel season: Help people out, be in a good mood, dress up"

If the rumors about the Epstein files are true, and ending the shutdown forces Johnson to open the House and swear in Grijalva, which in turn results in a release of the Epstein files, then maybe this is a brilliant maneuver? More likely it's just Dems shooting themselves in the foot again, though.

If your reaction to hearing that we live in a country where 40 million people need assistance to feed their family is to be angry at those people and not the system, then I don’t know what to tell you.

I attended the #NoKings rally in Potsdam, NY, a small village in NY-21, the district currently represented by Elise Stefanik. The only violence/aggression at the rally of 1,200+ protesters came when a teenage driver in a white truck decided to roll coal and do burnouts in the street. (1/8)

Lol Hulu just emailed me to tell my the price of my subscription (which I canceled and ends tomorrow) goes up on October 21. I wasn't planning on going back, even though Jimmy Kimmel is coming back tonight, but this made it a certainty. Read the room, Hulu.

When it's all said and done, Senate Republicans' complete abdication of any sense of responsibility for the confirmation process of Hegseth, RFK, and now Emil Bove, will be seen as the one of the major causes of the demise of our once great nation.

Fuuuuck … Paramount just released Star Trek Strange New Worlds season 3 but the settlement and now the news about Colbert’s cancelation is so weak. Really torn about my Paramount plus subscription.

Today seemed like a good time to reevaluate my monthly contribution to @ncprnews.bsky.social. While my increased gift is small potatoes in the scheme of things, I hope the staff there knows how much our community values their role in the local media landscape, even if some of our politicians do not.

More than 700 people showed up in Canton NY (population 7,000) for the #NoKings rally. In ruby red #NY21.

Blown away by the energy from our community. (1/3)

So interesting how Republicans were so enthralled and scandalized by past drug use by Hunter Biden, who was notably not involved in government, but who don’t seem to care about drug use by Elon Musk, who must certainly was.

Any so-called journalist in the room who doesn't immedialtely follow this rant with a question about Trump's interests in crypto is a fraud.
Leavitt: "I think it's frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit. He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service."

Ray accomplished so much, but never forgot the ways that St. Lawrence shaped him. Now matter how high he climbed in the NHL hierarchy, he stayed close to the program and supportive of the players and coaches. Sad day for SLU Hockey.
Ray Shero was never the star of his own story.

But he not be miscast as a supporting actor or secondary figure. Instead, he should be remembered for putting in the work — and changing hockey for the better.
