Love the shape of this pumpkin and the wonkiness of the spider web.

Maybe a little busy and heavy on the hot pink, but I love the gently waving tendrils of plant matter. I was aiming for water weed and small shells on a sandy background. May have achieved something entirely different.

Would you believe that what I had in my head was even weirder? I think this has turned out nicely balanced between human and inhuman.

Definitely going to add some embroidered notebooks to the online shop later this year, they're a lot of fun to make.

TREE!!!
As promised, a return of the pendant chain stitch but as a full spiral of foliage. The trunk is mostly coral stitch with some split stitch to fill in any large gaps.

Very pleased with this one, especially the sense of a proper foreground and background. I was a little worried when the attempt at a shrub turned out more like a cabbage but it doesn't look too out of place now the rest is finished.

This started out "meh", kept on skirting around "yuck" the more I did to it, and has ended up in the region of "fine, I guess".

Lots of different stitches used here, but I particularly like how the single-strand chicken scratch adds a bit of depth.

Cotton scraps and couched acrylic yarn. Running stitch and coral stitch over the circle.
I love that it looks like a curtain pulled back to reveal a moon or maybe a big paper lantern.

Cotton scraps worked over with running and seed stitches. Continuous lines are coral stitch or couched thread. The little pink stars are ribbed spider-web stitch. I don't like how busy this turned out and wish I'd stuck to blue and green for the background.

July was mostly hot air balloons for a nursery, plus a vase of snakes for a particularly awesome friend's birthday. I had a few mis-steps with the balloons but ended up with a set which are distinct but have a similar, cheerful style.

Over the past few weeks I've been slow-stitching a little sewing case for myself, without a pattern or specific plan for how it might turn out. I'm really pleased with it but, more importantly, it was a very enjoyable process.
