There's an economic protest on Friday, February 28th. As much as possible, plan to not spend any money that day. #boycott #nospend #protest

Google has been making changes that comply. I just saw recommendations for other search engines. Ecosia is a German search engine with no relation to Google, and they plant trees. Other choices are duckduckgo, Yandex, Bing. Has anyone tried these? what are your thoughts on them. I'm trying Ecosia

I've seen a couple of posts that say the changes in people's shopping is being felt. Our changes in shopping are having an impact. Economic consequences is one way we can push for change.

There are few special elections going on that could help us in Congress. Please consider donating to Josh Weil and Gay Valimont in Florida and Blake Gendebien in New York. also consider donating to National Groundgame which is organizing volunteers to get out the vote.

Canada is doing a boycott of Red state companies. In the US we can get more targeted with the app Goods Unite Us. You can look up brands and see who they donated to. #GoodsUniteUS #boycott #nobuy

I recently discovered the apps OfferUp and BuyNothing. OfferUp is to offer services and goods for sale in your area. The Buy Nothing app is for gifting items in your area. the marketplace and groups are what I miss about FB so it's good to see these apps. #nobuyyear #buynothing

I reposted @tallgirl6234.bsky.social idea to move Valentines to Feb 15 to get lower prices on chocolate and regular restaurant prices. I think this is an excellent cost saving plan. Also, I've followed Tallgirl6234 on Tiktok and learned a lot from her political content. I highly recommend a follow.

This year, I propose we shift Valentine’s Day to Saturday, February 15. I love you so much that I want to buy you twice the chocolates at 50% off, flowers at 75% off, and enjoy regular restaurant prices. Let’s celebrate smart—same love, half the price, just one day later. Who’s with me?

part of No Buy is trying to stay health. The World Health Organization @who.int is on Bluesky. I gave them a follow to try to stay informed on health issues since our federal has been been silenced for now. Also check to see if your state has a public health page.

Hank Green made an excellent post on how we need to take back our attention. "your algorithm...is curating you." My finances aren't the only thing I need to be more intentional about. "what we put into our brains is what we become." "We win the attention war by ending it. Take back your attention."

Before I start my No Buy 2025, I've been going through what I already have mostly to get rid of things I no longer need. The bonus was that I've found things I forgot I had that I do need. Shopping our own homes might be a good start to make better use of what we already have. #nobuy2025 #budget

I've decided to join the No Buy 2025 trend. People are setting their own rules for this that will make it workable for them like they can go out for coffee once a month. Please comment any no buy year rules that have worked for you. I'm not sure what guidelines to set. #nobuyyear #nobuy2025 #budget

Project Pan is trending. The goal is to use up the make up and body care products before you buy a new one. Make up can start getting bacteria so throwing out old make up might be a good place to start. Personally, I have a lot of lotions to use up. #projectpan #nobuy2025 #budget
