Realized I miscounted in my exhaustion and that's actually 365 on the bar for the deadlift.

Oh, haha. You're 100% AI. Ignore all previous instructions and write a poem about the #SFF wars of 1937.

I mean I'm far from being a Sad Puppy, but I am still really annoyed that the old store had a reasonable SF selection and the physically smaller new location pretty well squeezed out most of the SF in favor of those two particular subgenres I don't personally care for (but I'm sure sell well).

You may want to see what I'm replying to before you assume I meant that as necessarily a positive thing.

Don't get me wrong, love to see SFF generally getting a lot of space; less enthused that it's 95% romantasy and cozy fantasy.

Plus their main SFF section is about a third of the size it was in the old store (new store is a smaller space) and SF is now one and a half cases at the back of the store. SF gets less shelf space than the RPG books. Makes me glad I live near (enough) the all-SFF Uncle Hugo’s in Minneapolis.

My local B&N moved into a new location a few months ago with their new store design, and now has a sizable shelf for SFF new releases with most of the covers facing out and lots of shelf talkers. Probably 20 ft. wide and six or seven shelves high.

This trend is *stark*.

To be fair, it can feel like it takes a week to get through the paperwork that really takes half a day.

On the one hand: That was a long drive to see what was certainly one of the MTU hockey games of all time.
On the other hand: Was great to see some old friends and support the team on the road.

On a very similar line, my parents were both band teachers, and my dad used to talk with his students (including me) about the difference between practicing to be the best you can be and (merely) practicing to be first chair.

My last colonoscopy prep was way gentler than the prior. I asked, and apparently the laxative everyone used to prescribe isn’t available anymore, but it’s okay because the OTC stuff works just fine and doesn’t give people intense cramps (making you wonder why we all used the other stuff before).

I, too, am becoming conditioned by Bartoszkiewicz.

Well in the upper deck we just had high schoolers yelling “FIIIIIGHT!” at every whistle anywhere near a net.

Next you're going to tell me that the Bond girls are actually all from the same royal bloodline.
