Make Peace,
Be Kind,
Be gentle.
It does say what leads to what feelings. It does say how to cultivate certain feelings. And that there are feelings worth cultivating because they lead to peace, happiness, and well-being.

I haven't found a place that says don't feel sad. Just sadness arises and there is a reason.

Maybe it's okay for that to waver. Maybe it keeps me adaptable.

But letting the Dhamma be the most important thing in my life... that guides me through these changes in mind of what job I should have physically.

But if I relate to the present moment with an open heart. With knowing that it's never the sound that disturbs me, but my mind that disturbs the sound.

Remembering that I can be with the pain. It's like this.

It's impermanent, unreliable, uncertain, and it's like this. Nothing to worry about.

...then I've misplaced the onus.

It's never that thing out there that is the source of my suffering, but rather how I relate to it.

It's the nature of this world that things break, or things don't go as planned, it's only natural. It can't be another way. Things break.

I think of tools needing to be recalibrated, I feel it's the same with the mind.
We can forget skillful from unskillful sometimes, and the suttas help reorient us.

Right View, the first factor of the Noble Eightfold Path. We are told where to look, and eventually, we see.

This reminds me of how we can't make insight happen, but we can increase the likelihood of it happening by deepening our practice.
