Last Wednesday morning I woke up, checked the news, then fell back and stared at the ceiling for half an hour. Eventually I reasoned I either had to move or stare at the ceiling until I died. I then opened my laptop and wrote the first page of my next book. I feel, if not positive, at least driven.

Just finished watching "The Contestant". Man, anyone who makes, or has made reality television really ought to be publicly executed. I struggle to think of a more horrific thing to put someone through than what was shown in that documentary.
