Trump lied.

He never intended to help lower the cost of living. If he did, House Republicans wouldn't be trying to ram through an extreme budget that takes food off tables and puts education, rental assistance, childcare, and healthcare out of reach for families who are already struggling.

One of these days we're gonna have to reckon with the fact that "money that I spend which does not directly benefit me is a waste" is a popular sentiment.

I think we should state plainly that this is selfish on its face.

Waste and fraud? Has the Pentagon dropped its investigation into Musk's abuse of its own reporting rules?

Did Trump Quietly Kill a Sensitive Pentagon Probe into Elon Musk?
The New York Times revealed last year that Musk and SpaceX failed to meet federal reporting requirements for Pentagon contractors. No one has asked: What’s going on with that today?

The ongoing actions by Musk and his followers are a coup. Elon Musk was elected to no office and there is no office that would give him the authority to do what he is doing. It is all illegal. It is also a coup in its intended effects: to undo democratic practice and violate human rights.
Of course it’s a coup

Primary Every Democrat
It’s exhausting to watch poll-tested, donor-beholden congressional Democrats continue to be too old, too cloistered, and too bumbling to do anything as the government burns.
