unspoiled and 'resemble something from a postcard', we all must promote first & foremost sustainable and active modes of transport.

NCC declared a climate emergency in 2019 and an ecological emergency in 2023. Transport on our roads is still one of the main contributors to carbon emissions.

Whilst public transport is a good alternative to driving & should be encouraged where possible, we still need to get there first. So, how do you do that? We couldn't agree more with Peter - there's no better way to enjoy and reconnect with our local heritage than on foot or by cycle! It's great to see the partnership with local businesses across various Tyne Valley locations too! We know what we'll be doing this weekend (no consultations 😅)!! 🚲🚂☁️
