My pet theory is that Gen X and Boomers didn’t grow up around any immigrants and the fact that in 2025 (or 2016) immigrants are everywhere in America - not just in LA, NYC, and Utica - is freaking them out.

Younger gens were part of this transition and it feels much more natural for them/us.
