I like talking about transit, urbanism, accessibility, and local stuff.
Fun fact: every outdoor dining space in #hoboken combined only occupies 58 parking spaces.

These 58 spots generate about $24k per month in revenue to fund city services.

Outdoor dining is also our highest performing curb use, with ~30 people interacting with each space equivalent per day.

Interesting analysis. I took a similar look at the Hoboken race. Looks like a similar dynamic between Jabbour and Russo.

So, effectively, a Democrat just signed into law a tax cut on coal and gas power?

We use the term "vulnerable traveler" as an objectively descriptive phrase.

I suppose we could have flipped the phrasing to "dangerous travelers", but then the conversation is more about "who is to blame", rather than a statement of "how do we protect these people from being injured?"

I'm old enough to remember when @thewaroncars.bsky.social were the only ones showing up to car shows to ask manufacturers whether it was responsible to make cars so big and powerful.

Today, we have Doug DeMuro asking the same question to the CEO of Rivian.

Rats. I missed all the fun by taking my bike on the ferry today instead of driving to the shore.

Haven’t seen any full crowd photos from #nokings #nyc

This is a crowd from 36th to 25th. The crowd was full, at least to 40th, behind us.

I’ve seen the new pedibike Amazon trucks running around Manhattan, but this is the first I’ve seen of this trailer version powered by a @ternbicycles.com. Cool stuff!

Credit where credit is due: NJ Transit, NY Waterway, and PANYNJ managed the #hoboken PATH shutdown almost flawlessly.

I'm going to miss the high frequency bus service and cheap ferry tickets.

This level of service was expensive, but we could continue it if our leaders chose to invest in transit.
