I agree with Thomas here. The idea that Nintendo will 'literally sue you for anything', as the article proposes, really isn't true. There are lines which you don't cross, mind you, and I can see where the perception comes from but this isn't reality.
I don't know... That all seems a bit overly dramatic. I teach at a state university in Germany and we have a wonderful relation to Nintendo. They support our students, visit presentations, offer internships and we also get official devkits. Cooperation always beats vilification.
