NEW: OSC found Pleasantville paid $165,724 to a departing official — including an unlawful sick-leave payout and a severance bonus that is not required by NJ law.
Pleasantville didn't dispute the findings and has agreed to take corrective action.

The Office of the State Comptroller encourages Medicaid providers to self-disclose overpayments. Providers who do so are not charged penalties or interest and may receive extended repayment terms.
In FY 2025, 10 providers self-disclosed and returned $1.8M in total to NJ Medicaid.
