I recall a supervisory meeting at her home the day the UTP box of Domestic Goods arrived. She proudly explained the politics of the cover and fretted that a white cover might stain. Then said something like “You must think I’m silly.” I think of this when I get these boxes of books and am as giddy.
very sad to hear that joy parr has passed away. she did such great work in multiple fields of canadian history...

Sharing some Congress nostalgia. I miss the really useful canvass bags. They held a lot of books. And many groceries over the years. This was the Congress Sharon Weaver stayed at the family farm and we drove to London.
