Back out of fitter hell. I learned that register merging options cause more problems than they solve, and that sometimes hand-implementing simple optimizations that the synthesis tool ~should~ know how to do will fix a thousand timing problems.

Dialysis, now with free radicals! They're free and radical, and so we're making formerly lame and boring dialysis cool.

It turns out I missed one (1) clock configuration option, and that was the source of all of the nonsensical bugs I've been battling, and to fix them fitter hell is back baby!!! 😭

There is a particular account my fyp likes to show me of an individual looking for love and consistently crying about how few friends they have... but who insta-bans non-mutuals who interact with their posts and then complains that people are interacting too much. Been going on for years now.

Aldous Huxley termed this the Law of Reversed Effort. In my opinion, there is a balance of effort and desire that avoids this, though it's not trivial to say how to find that balance outside of the actual moment-to-moment context.
