Ya know...........
margaret anderson kelliher accidentally thanked robin wonsley instead of latrisha vetaw who had actually finished speaking. “y’all are so messy,” said vetaw. “that was so messy.” “i am messy,” MAK said. then vetaw called her by the wrong name too. MAK: “fair!”

The US has managed to evade the mantle of authoritarianism historically because of our level of both diversity and marginalized groups with the courage and drive to seek equality. Today, every act, absent anarchism that supports LGBTQ+ people and immigrants strikes at the heart of authoritarianism.

The DT skyways are a joke. Can't be accessed because bldg owners are more scared of homeless people than they are motivated to provide public access to the skyways and thus DT.
lol great ad for downtown Minneapolis

Will pedestrianizing Nicollet make people want to come downtown to get kicked out of a dead mall?

I don’t really understand how people don’t grasp that capitalist competition leads to monopoly. Something wins a competition. It is a pretty obvious thing.

So tired of the complete BS this administration spouts on a daily basis. DO you think they think we actually believe it when we can do simple searches and find out the truth for ourselves?? Are they that incompetent or completely self deluded?
Hundreds of millions. Wow, that's a lot. That's more than have died in every single war combined in the entire world since 1900.

There have been reports of volunteers in TN being harassed, and those incidents have been forwarded to local authorities. Everyone deserves to participate in our democracy without fear or intimidation. If you ever find yourself in a situation that feels unsafe, don’t hesitate to reach out for help.

Trump is going after Walz RN because Walz has a significant polling situation to overcome as he launches his reelection push and any numbers lower than his are literally chum in the water to Trump. Funny thing is, Trump'll never recover his numbers while Walz has great potential as campaigns unfold.

If the Venezuelan sailors were enemy combatants, then the 2nd strike is a war crime.

If the Venezuelan sailors weren’t enemy combatants, then both strikes are criminal murder.

It’s that simple.

Need to say that the ring leader for the Feeding our Future fraud in MN is a white woman from suburbia who exploited many people. It's not a "Somali fraud ring" but as typical, one where an individual vastly oversold opportunity where experience was lacking to fully appreciate risks. Yes, fraud, but

theconversation.com/how-socialis... There is a long history in this country of capitalists and industrialists going to great lengths to generate fear about "socialism" even though a majority partakes of it regularly and gladly w/ Great Society or New Deal programs.
How socialism became un-American through the Ad Council’s propaganda campaigns
Bernie Sanders is a Democratic Socialist, a potential problem for the presidential candidate. A Cold War campaign to link American-ness and capitalism helped create popular distrust of socialism.

Trump has the unfortunate effect of making white older men seem repulsive generally. And many of those repulsive older white men support Trump, so yeah.
I remember a time (not too long ago) that we had the collective moral decency to agree, that if a politician spoke this way to a female reporter, that would be the end of their political career.

So it turns out that Epstein's actual business was Intelligence and sex trafficking was a component of building and maintaining his networks. Which in and of itself is less shocking than the idea of a stand alone international sex trafficking ring. Trafficking's been tied to Intelligence globally.

Stuck in an airport due to the shutdown? There's an answer but it will take political will and grassroots work. High speed rail, like that in other developed and less developed countries alike would diversify our transportation system, be far less polluting and provide options we need like yesterday

As we move forward and it becomes real to more people that there will never be a return to "normal", the evolving methods of politics will land on a new normal. People will be unhappy and uncomfortable but always remember: it was the GOP who first threw out the rules and set aside laws for power.

No idea if this is the case here, but a city council member in my suburb said that our many vacant downtown storefronts were due to a tax law that allows landlords to write off losses from vacant properties, so if they don't get the rent they want, they can make more money by letting it sit empty.

There were no "winners" with the deal to end the shutdown. All Americans actually lost because ultimately, republicans had no way out of the mess they created in American's lives with their shutdown. Some democrats acted to stop the suffering but after 40 days, nothing was gained by either side.

Dear Trump supporters: did you know you were expendable? When Trump campaigned on cutting government did you not believe that meant the programs you rely on to live?. Now you're starving so he can win. Sadest thing is that he convinced you you're expendable so he can win.
