Shows like The Diplomat ring hollow because of such fake dialogues. This is the US ambassador to the UK talking - she is the lead in the show, supposedly the brightest of them all.

Developed countries like Canada, Ireland, S Korea, have the highest shares of college adults (55–65%);emerging nations like India & Mexico have strikingly high proportions of adults with no high school edu, a stark contrast with dev nations Germany has a strong vocational system...

Passport ranking in 2025: Singapore, S. Korean & Japanese passports are the most powerful in the world, followed by Germany & Italy. It's the number of visa-free destinations that clinches your rank, but economic stability & diplomatic relations matter too.

Indian women are not just embracing financial independence, they are rejecting traditional gender roles. They are following a world-wide trend, as Morgan Stanley stats show. Almost half of all women will be single and childless by 2030, the largest share in history. A significant societal shift.

These graphs show who bought Russia fuels after the bans. As you can see, the EU continued to buy even after imposing the bans themselves. Other countries did too...but India was the only one punished severely. I guess because we have nothing to blackmail the US with.

Adults from 25 countries see spread of false info online, the global economy & terrorism as major threats today. But the real threat is from lunatic global leaders who fuel these disasters. Chaos, fear, poverty and hatred helps them consolidate their power.

International adoptions have reduced drastically in the west, bc origin countries like China, Guatemala, Russia, Korea banned it. A few rich nations like Netherlands & Denmark banned their own citizens from doing it. But the murky world of international surrogacy is rising.

#Obesity rates in some rich countries are scary – over 40% in the US & some M-E countries like Kuwait & Saudi. Frighteningly, in September 25, Unicef reported that obese kids now outnumber those who are underweight.

So all the #gold in the world is only the size of an apartment block. But the total gold owned by Indian women exceeds the gold reserves of the top five countries combined. I wonder how many apartments that is!

The best people don't enter politics bc lying/cheating doesn't come easily to them. That's what people think. Why else do they have such a poor opinion of their elected officials? Even in developed countries like #Canada & #Japan people distrust #politicians.

Russia is playing a deadly game. This editorial from the Economist encapsulates it well. Russia is alternatively threatening Europe and NATO and then going into denial mode.

Caste may not exist in the West but class certainly does. Only 7% of the UK population goes to private schools but the elite dominate and rule society. Yeah, even in cricket and in the army. The middle classes and the poor are not getting the opportunities they need to rise.

67% of billionaires world-wide are self-made, but 97% billionaires in Russia & China are self-made. Possibly got there with wheeling & dealing, knowing their country's pol systems. Germany, Spain & Italy have the highest % of billionaires who got there with inherited wealth. Not good either.

Then there's Australia too.
