I really can’t bear to see such headlines anymore. Immigrants prop up this country and its systems and institutions. Most of them work really hard to contribute to society. They are equally deserving of a dignified life that doesn’t involve being scapegoated by politicians & media everyday. Enough!

Difference between ‘refugee’, ‘asylum seeker’, ‘immigrant’ & ‘migrant’👇🏽

There’s a reason why right wing press uses ‘migrants’ most frequently. Because they mean all of the above. They’re not just talking about the asylum seekers.

Today in London I was impressed by the diversity I saw at the Palestine solidarity march. People from all over with different backgrounds, ethnicities & ages. All united by their refusal to silence their humanity in the face of injustice.
A powerful display of hope.
This is the real England 🤍

History will honour the bravery of those on board the Sumud Flotilla vessels. Our children and grandchildren will regard them as heroes. And there’s nothing anybody can do about that.

“A Different Kind of Power” was a five stars for me. A very rare first hand account of a country leader oozing with sincerity and genuineness.
And it’s not without hope.

Life is too short to spend it in fear or worry but also meaningless if we just don’t care. It’s a tough balance so may be striving to achieve it is the point.

Dream of the sun when it’s raining and dream of the rain when it’s hot and dry. Dream of what we don’t have when we have what we dreamed of. That’s what we do as humans. It’s a tough habit to unlearn.
