He says he’s ok but that second impact was a big one and his steering column had already broke, the cockpit wasn’t a safe place by then. They’ll check him out properly

It’s an unusual choice. I’ve already sent someone to find one for me

Ooh, the boat-tail is lovely

It might well have been the Metro.

Something I was not expecting to read in Shunsaku Tamiya’s autobiography was 4 pages about his trip to Israel in 1968 to see a Soviet T34 tank captured in the 6 Day War. A lot of the book is about the efforts he went to for research so that Tamiya models are accurate. A passionate perfectionist

Yes I’m talking about the tyres. There’s no point developing them and flying them all over the world if they can’t be used. I’m really not convinced that spray/visibility is more of an issue now than it ever was though

8 years they’ve been taking those tyres all over the world and not using them. You’re not exactly countering my point

When was the full wet tyre last used in a race? Must be ten years ago, maybe that really wet Brazil that Max made his name at, which was what, 2016?
July 27, 2025 at 3:51 PM
So why have the tyre and take them to every race? Either have the tyre and use it or don’t have the tyre

Pure marketing from Aston I assume. Although it probably is a bit more practical having rear doors and more room for medical equipment

They transport 240 tyres around the world to every single event and then throw them out unused at the end of the year. How do they reconcile this against their environmental targets? Having them and never using them is absurd

I do wonder if they’re looking at everyone’s results today and questioning their naming strategy
July 15, 2025 at 12:01 PM
Same. Every single time that it’s a car from this brand. No idea at all which meaningless alphanumeric code has been applied in lieu of any memorable identity

A Lego reality show generally is an untapped concept. Like Masterchef but viewers can actually tell which contestants are any good
