Trying the new bike share scheme in Glasgow and I’m somewhat unimpressed. You now pay by the minute (which can be as high as 16p/min pay-as-you-go), which feels to me like it’ll encourage unsafe riding. There’s a direct financial incentive to run red lights because it’ll make your trip cheaper!

While walking down Camden High Street this afternoon I had two different people try to sell me on getting a tattoo or a piercing (okay I can see why they’d try to ask me), and one try to offer me “weed or coke”

I did not take up any of these offers

Unsure what to do with ~4 hours in London on a Sunday so I’m going to check out the capitalism hellscape that is the huge Westfield shopping centre at Shepherd’s Bush (not to be confused with the other Westfield on the Central Line of course)

Played some rhythm games for the first time today and I wasn’t *completely* awful — just a little awful???

I have also now learned that when I’m browsing a list full of Japanese song and artist names that I can’t read, then looking for Toby Fox bangers is usually a safe bet

Is the left machine broken or is it actually a special photo booth that stretches your pictures beyond recognition for fun? We may never know
Two “Photo-Me” automated photo booths right next to each other. Both have a screen displaying the same advert with a stock photo and “42% Faster!”, but the one on the left is rendering it rotated 90 degrees and at the wrong aspect ratio

I’m on a train from Manchester to Cambridge so it’s time for everyone’s favourite post format

Here are some random photos I’ve taken recently

Reluctantly flipping myself back from “Released” to “Normal” as Monday approaches
a small compartment in a train’s doorframe covered by plexiglass. it contains a red lever that’s set to “Normal”, and an arrow indicates that you can rotate it clockwise to change to “Released”

Crossing streets in Glasgow city centre feels like you’re continually having to solve the worst Professor Layton puzzles

“If one side has a broken green light and the other side has a broken red light, and no lights are on, is it safe to cross?”
A set of confusingly laid out traffic signals where one amber light is missing and one pedestrian red light is missing, both with cables just poking out of the holes A different set of signals at the same junction which also has its amber light just… missing
