If it had been a first down, the clock would have stopped (temporarily) and there wouldn’t have been the need for a quick timeout. That was a big strategic mistake. Fortunately it didn’t cost them the game.

That feels a bit circular. Wouldn’t the most watched teams be biased towards the timeslots and networks that are generally most watched, which the networks fill with the teams they already thought would draw the most ratings?
