Australia has approved a social media ban for children aged under 16, one of the world’s toughest regulations targeting big tech.

In 2023 the govt "improved" the Safeguard Mechanism because, as Tanya Plibersek noted, "the safeguard mechanism is the way that we deal with carbon emissions in this country".
And yet the projected emissions from industry are now higher than they were last year.
