3/3 and my absolute favorite, The Goat Man! It's a local legend around here about a half man half goat that roams the sparse woods of Prince George's County. My dad used to try to scare us on long walks by suddenly running off trail and pretending the goatman was attacking him.

2/3 I was thinking a lot about how image was going to be used so I made a sort of frame. Blue crabs are big in Maryland, there's even one on my license plate! I thought about including some Old Bay, a seasoning with a cult following, but there were some rules against using brands in the art work.

The prompt was "Maryland Treasures", so lots of freedom to interpret. All the same, I went really traditional for the first submission, and focused on the state flower. Nothing wrong with being occasionally simple and pretty~ 1/3

I participated in an art call for my State’s Lottery. My works weren’t chosen, but the good news is, now I can share them here! I submitted three images and my underdeveloped social media instincts are telling me I should post them one at a time over the next couple of days.
