Mighty hunter since Genesis. Uplifting adagio. Retired aircraft. Closet geek. Proud migrant. Head of policy at the Law Centres Network.
Most of our legal problem solving journeys take place before we get to court. To help courts run better, then, we need more help for people not just at court but also earlier, so people know their rights+options and act on them. Or that's what I told Monday's Westminster Legal Policy Forum, anyway.

The reasoning for this and it tsbcouerence will likely be picked over in legal challenges before long.
This is bananas. Access to Work is a scheme that specifically helps disabled people work in paid employment.

The minister's comments suggest too many people know about it so it needs paring back - and responsibility shifted to employers, who as we know just lurve more responsibilities
Ministers appear to be set to announce cuts to a flagship disability employment scheme, just as the government is trying to push more disabled people towards the workplace.

This issue has dragged on for years. In settling this, MoJ is taking an important step toward sustainability of the welfare benefits #LegalAid contracts. We were glad to contribute material in support. Well done to Will and Emma!

We never imagined that 80 years after the liberation of #Auschwitz we would see such appalling levels of antisemitism and Islamophobia, and a resurgence of the far right, in Europe.

Brilliant gig by @lloydcole.bsky.social at the Barbican last night. Sounds as good as ever and set list covered all eras. It was special hearing this song: his first solo single, which is when I got to know his music. Thank you, sir, and an early happy birthday to you! youtu.be/YH74tgueBJY?...

Did I just listen, on R4's flagship news prog, to a discussion of additions to porridge? One that sneered 'what kind of household' would have date syrup to hand? Er, ones w/Middle Eastern or north-African heritage, for example. And how hilariously exotic can a product be if you can buy it at Tesco?
