Author, care worker, somewhen poet, somewhen archer. D&D. Gen X, ('e, 'im & oi). Writes about the Flying Dutchman, Smugglepunk, Brighton & Sussex folklore, and occasional non-fiction for magazines. Perpetually broke, no quick buck to be made here.
Yeah, so, not to brag, but Imma comic book character in a proper graphic novel (Hopeless, Maine). Just a one page appearance, but none-the-less, there bain't much else to aim for in life after this apex, is there?

Aww shucks, now Imma have to write a story about the palace (I've done one on the Brighton (Patcham) finds at the Elaine Evans Exhibition in the Brighton Museum). Anyhow, here's evidence of our visit, I'm the one who's clearly mastered Roman re-enactment unlike my mate who obviously does a poor job.

I recently wrote something similar about the Procoptodon Goliah, i.e. stick him in a Tatooine canteen and none would be the wiser.

You mean Eamonn Mullally's wife, right?

When @tomsbrown.bsky.social asked me what Professor Penning in Rousing the Duvelsbeest should look like, I sent him a bunch of pictures of Dr. Jane Goodall. Her character is different, but similar look and Tom captured her well, methinks. Sharing now as tribute.

Preliminary sketch by Eldad Druks for the short story 'Forsaken'. Based on the brilliant Elaine Evans exhibition at Brighton Museum, this story (woven around a poem by Jo B.) appeared in the 'Elements of Horror: Water' Anthology. 2b republished in "Brighton Folk: A Blast from the Past" next year.

Now who could gaze at this awesome picture of yours truly at the Fishermen's Museum in Hastings and not be convinced that I'm clearly very knowledgeable
regarding the nautical matters I write about?

Come to Hastings and gimme all your money this Saturday. What better way to spend your weekend?

Centrists and Starmeroids devoted heaps of attention on the left-wing, kindly taking the time to deride them, scorn them, mock them, bully them out of the party, or just kick them out all together. And after all this effort, this is ALL the thanks they get? Who coulda seen that coming?

Visited Old St Helen's in Hastings last weekend in the esteemed company of C.J. Stone, former Guardian columnist (Housing Benefit Hill) and proper author.

As innocent fisherman, I only have limited means of persuasion at my disposal.

Got a younger version of him in my 'Bleak Future'. Flushing's very own "duvelsjong".

Nah, Shoreham-on-Sea, in Sussex. But Sussex is part of Zeeland now, by rights of conquest. I planted the flag at Camber Sands and nobody opposed me. I then renamed the county West Walcheren, but this hasn't caught on yet.

Visiting the Andalucia today. Dunno whether I ought to lower that red and gold flag to replace it with the Dutch tricolour and proclaim the ship taken, or just sink her out of principle. Remember 1572!

The Andalucia is on her way to Shoreham-on-Sea (nr Brighton)! Guess what I'll be doing later this week.

Another golly-gosh will ya look at what Tom Brown can do moment.

'Rousing the Duvelsbeest' is out as E-book now in most available formats. It should be far easier to find than locating the Isle of Arenes itself, where this story of mutiny, murder, and mayhem is set.

Another wee celebration of Tom Brown's amazing talents. Here are his interpretations of the 21st century protagonist of 'Rousing the Duvelsbeest', Lette Sabajo, sent to Australia by the to help the Aussies investigate a newly discovered shipwreck on the island of Arenes.

A wee celebration of Tom Brown's amazing talents. Here are his interpretations of the 17th century protagonist of 'Rousing the Duvelsbeest', Leyn Jonas, a ship's boy rapidly learning to become a survival specialist.
