not sure what the original message was, since I can't see it, but it should work now.

the girl who uses AI because she doesn't want to draw plant still lifes just makes me sad. That's ... that's not what drawing is.

If you’re curious to learn even more about the soundtrack, check out the eggplant podcast, where Doug, Alessandro and I did a deep dive on all the different aspects of the Mutazione soundtrack in a miniseries of four episodes (below link to episode 1):

With it's 36 tracks, the digital #Mutazione soundtrack is quite meaty. And there's an additional four-track EP of Trailer Music on Alessandro's @millogameaudio.bsky.social personal bandcamp page:

Next to the daily town music, we had music that the NPC characters were listening to, like Miu’s riot grrrl tapes, or made themselves, like Spike’s lovesong, or the concert of the band on day 5. Plus a lot of custom-made music, for dream sequences, menus, trailers, etc…

The music would ebb out and become more calm in sections, especially at night. This is one of my favourite tracks:

You can get the whole soundtrack on Akupara's bandcamp page. (Also this seems like the only place where the vinyl is not sold out yet)

Each in-game day of Mutazione has a different track, that varies where you are in the game, and which time of day it is. Each track is made up by different soundclips and loops, that would get play randomly, so the music never feels repetitive.

We added all the town gardens as an update to #Mutazione 's Garden Mode a few months after we launched the game in 2019 (Platforms have changed since then, the game is not on Apple Arcade anymore, but on the App Store instead).

Alessandro @millogameaudio.bsky.social said: “To mimic the un-evenness of nature's motion, we needed extremely subtle sound design for the gardens. Each plant sounded slightly different from clip to clip for each growth stage. In the end we had more than 7000 individual clips of plant sounds.”

#Mutazione has its own “garden mode”, which lets you use the gardens as a ambient music generator, which evolves in time as new seeds plant themselves and mature plants die and make space for new ones.

Music and musical ambience takes a front seat when experiencing #Mutazione. There were the musical garden, in which the players were able to plant plants that each emitted ambient music clips. The key of the garden music would change depending on which plant “mood” dominated the gardens.
