What is the best way of identifying a fragile regime? When poetry is presented as a form of terrorism.

of all the atrocities these emails likely allude to, it's still amazing that 'elites' write awful things *in emails*. so above the law, so convinced of their rectitude, so conditioned to impunity.

The grotesqueries of our world continue unabated.
Wealthy foreign gun enthusiasts paid Bosnian Serb forces for the chance to shoot residents of Sarajevo during the siege of the city during the 1990s, according to claims being investigated by Italian magistrates ⬇️

Sauchiehall Street has lots of vacant or closing shops. If we were to follow Trump's authoritarian logic should we be expecting the military to be called in?

I think Kim's work really demonstrated Teen Vogue at its best. Non-patronising or condescending. The writers treated their audience with respect and as autonomous individuals. It will be missed and we will definitely feel it's absence
“Since 2018, labor columnist Kim Kelly brought the labor beat to teenage readers through her “No Class” column, covering everything from wildcat strikes to general strikes, the Gilded Age labor organizer Mother Jones to contemporary Amazon warehouse conditions.” 💔 thisislaborwise.com/teen-vogues-...
Teen Vogue's Closure and the Quiet Defunding of Worker Consciousness
Teen Vogue’s shutdown marks more than a media loss. This is a warning about how profit-driven consolidation quietly dismantles worker awareness and voice.

An important demonstration of the gaping chasm in protection without universal or federal anti-SLAPP laws.

@lukelebrun.ca and @pressprogress.ca are at risk cause they are in Alberta. Free speech protections shouldn't be a post code lottery
Hi Bluesky 👋

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧵

🚨 BREAKING: The government has tabled their plan to restrict repeat protests.

Demonstrations could now banned based on the 'cumulative disruption' that previous protests have caused in the area - regardless of if they have been organised by the same people or not.

This is worse than we feared.
