Facebook is flooded with animal AI slop accounts (text + images). This is probably common knowledge. What may not be is how often these are tied to Vietnam. I found out that if you visit the profile ➡️ "About" ➡️ "Page Transparency" ➡️ "See All" of them, they are usually managed from Vietnam.

I hope the next president renames it to the Ballroom of Mexico.

You're not allowed to do this.

Of course.

How has he not yet demanded that his head is added to Mount Rushmore, but bigger than the others and made of gold?

@zslofficial.bsky.social wtf are you doing?

Cannot stop laughing at this. Look at them running like toddlers and getting outrun and outmanoeuvred by the guy dragging a bike. I have never seen that many big men being that pathetically unathletic at the same time.

Look at the time it takes the first three to change direction! 🤣

Is no one ever going to question how Sheldrick and Born Free have essentially bought themselves into running KWS like their own private free-range zookeeping service?

This antihunting strategy sounds like a great idea. Since buying up bear hunting tags requires a hunting license, it'll force a lot of antihunters to learn about hunting, and since no bears are getting shot, there'll be more and more tags every year to buy up, meaning ever more conservation funding.

I believe that's the foraging level 10 version of this. Nice.

Oh the horrible tragedy of an 82 year-old man who is forced to face the reality that his career is slowing down...

Wtf!? Just retire and play Bridge.

Robert Redford dies at 89. Made me think of my mom. He was always my mom's actor crush. 🥲

And I loved a lot of his movies too. Sneakers was awesome.

I don't understand why Hong Kong closes off escalators when they're turned off for energy saving.

Just let them be regular stairs?

The adjectives news outlets use about people sometimes...

Why tf is it red shirt man chokes bald man and not red shirt man chokes black shirt man? Or just man chokes man? How is balding or shirt colour relevant for anything?

Not only did he get choked, you have to rub it in that he's bald too?

While writing something about fair chase hunting and animal welfare, I found these pretty interesting survey results.

Interesting because the public seems to have very illogical assumptions about what could negatively impact animal welfare in hunting.

Shouldn't judge a book by its cover and all that, but I could believe that this guy is a crook. He looks like the one who breaks your thumbs.

Is this number for UK right? Why is it so wildly different from Germany and most other European countries?

We should have a battle. Hunter AI slop vs. content creator AI slop.
August 17, 2025 at 7:35 PM
"Hunting and the outdoors" couldn't conjure up a non-AI image of a hunter? Ffs...

So far, I honestly think hunters have been one of the worst demographics I've seen when it comes to uncritical and lazy use of AI-slop for just about everything.

A little piece of insanity in Hong Kong is having workers going around in city parks in the flower beds and blowing dead leaves out of the flower bed and onto the pavement and then gathering them up in black plastic bags.

I'm sorry, but I think this graphical abstract is a car crash.

Second, here's how the cape buffalo hunt is sold to hunters on the safari company's website:
August 8, 2025 at 9:49 AM
First there's the statement from the safari company that hosted him, calling it an unprovoked attack.

Let's get this out of the way first. If you get killed by the animal that you were tracking and intending to kill, that's not an unprovoked attack, that's just an animal with excellent instincts.

I guess it's possible that these got switched in their report, as they're my only way of knowing which were bow hunted and which were firearm hunted.
