3/4 still you cannot neglect the RISKS:

- offensive outputs
- dialogue repetition
- NPCs giving world breaking outputs
- version mismatch or delays

even if you covered all of these, you cannot IGNORE
- NPC sounding boring
- low sales

2/4 also, please consider the DEPENDENCIES:

- strong PC to support running LLM; or
- good internet (if not local)

- cost of LLM
- game engine integration capability
- strong guardrails to restrict the model's output

1/e How to Make Players Feel for Their Characters?

Through backstories and relationships, you might empathize with characters

> But first playing together and then playing against each other, puts you in the shoes of your characters

where the tension actually feels real

1/d Narrative games risk players feeling railroaded, how can that be avoided?

> Plot can be fixed, but choices like paths or dialogues or even side activities - add flavor without branching excessively

Something they learned from their previous game "Brothers: A Tale of Two sons"

1/c How do you tell one story from two different points of view?

> Enter Leo’s aggressive style versus Vincent’s strategic choices, with dynamic resizing and collaborative QTEs

1/b In most co-op games up until then, Player 1 would lead while Player 2 followed.

But this game changed that. It introduced scenes where both players were compelled to rely on each other’s help.

1/a First up: How do you design a game where both players feel equally engaged?

In 'A Way Out,' Hazelight nailed this after 'Brothers' where one player could control both characters asymmetrically.
